"All right, allright, allright."
Oklahoma added Starrland Baldwin in the defensive back position since our last update - which is great- the more I watch his film the more I like.

So everyone is still kind of tripped out over the crappy situation last month. Oklahoma recruiting isn't where we thought it would be right now but we're gonna keep livin L-I-V-I-N. Oklahoma sets in tremendous position with some great talent - we just seem to always have to wait which is fine but again momentum is important. We're in good positions for some WR's who should be announcing very shortly - namely WR Jaqualyn Crawford, WR Treveon Johnson. I think the biggest haul of talent outside of DB -(shout out to Cooks for doing a hell of a job gettng the hay in the barn early) Is going to be Bedenbaugh - I expect by mid November he'll have collected quite a group on the ol. - make of that what you will.

At this juncture I don't believe the QB in this cycle will be someone we have offered. with one possible exception being Casey Thompson. As I've said on my podcast i really dont care about taking a QB this cycle - but my hangup is momentum and class building - it's hard to build a class without a QB. I have issues with Thompson's arm strength and the QB crop from the state of Texas is sub-optimal this year. I'm perfectly fine missing on a QB all together but I understand we have to take someone I'd prefer it if Riley stays on Martinez,or finally offers Justin Fields and goes all in on him. If that doesn't happen - there are some projects who atleast have canons that may be coachable. - namely some 3 star kids in Louisiana and California . I'm just not really sold on the Texas kids at all this cycle - even though Riley has extended an offer to Tanner Mordecai - I feel like OU would benefit more if he does decide to stay in Waco. Odds on whole be the QB this class? Thompson 25% Mordecai 10% Field 65% -

Defensively at this point the focus really needs to be on the defensive line because... yea it wasn't knocking anyones socks off in recruiting last year which made Tatum's Texas pledge a kick in the stones. - I will say nothing is done with Tatum and i'd be more surprised if he inks with Texas than I will be if Thompson does. As far as potential commits soon on the defensive line - Jalen Redmond and Izaih Filikitonga (DE/OLB tweener) are the safest bets
Oklahoma sits in good position on the defensive line at the moment - potential is absolutely there for Thibs to have a huge haul - he's developed relationships and connections and that should prove to pay dividens. Don't sleep on Oklahoma reaching into Missouri, West Virginia and Texas to pluck elite talent this cycle Kish's linebacker position seems to be lining up as well - there was some adjustment with Rosendo Louis picking up a FSU offer - however at this point I'd strike that situation up as CYA offer much like the FSU offer to Daley late last year.
