Texas: Well hell. Herman's had a great start. If you're an OU fan you know that well. Herman's net will be wide as he'll quickly try to reshape the roster- expect transfers and medical retirements. Texas's primary need will be offensive skill position,dl and secondary. Texas currently has five 4* talents committed out of eight total commits.
Ok State: Coming on strong out of the gates is Mike Gundy's squad - a bit of reversal of fortunes of previous years securing some high level talent at QB and WR. The Pokes biggest issue they had to address is OL and thus far they have earned the verbals of four prospects. Pokes will need to find a RB and add to their back seven class to round out their class
Baylor - Rhule is piecing together a class of raw talent - namely speed. It's class is big in number right now with 13 commits as well. Rhule's benefiting from the coaches he's surrounded himself with but it remains to be seen if his Temple model will work in the Big 12 and we really won't know until atleast 24 months from now. Baylors needs are in the trenches/ O skill and defensive back . Baylor is meeting its needs so far
OU- Tomorrow
Kansas- Jayhawks have fallen back down to Earth as we all believed they would but the talent they are currently collecting is noteworthy especially for the rebuilding Jayhawks. KU still has four Louisiana prep talents committed in late May - that's a victory for the beakers. KU needs to continue to address talent upgrade across the board
TCU - Horn Frogs are a team that i have pegged to finish much higher up these rankings at the end of the day - Frogs will gain momentum heading into the summer likely by fulfing need across the defensive front and linebacker core as they have addressed OL needs early
ISU - Continues to upgrade talent- they're competing for kids with multiple P5 offers under CMC much more so than under the previous staff.Top 50ish class is probably probable at this point certainly not much below 60.
WVU Slow start for the Mountaineers but they should shoot up this list based on probable gets. but WVU will have some pressing needs defensively and while I've learned to accept Dana's scouting - it' would be nice if WVU pressed for some higher than normal offensive talent this cycle.
Texas Tech - Holding pattern- doubt Tech shows any mobility in these rankings until extremely late in the season if Kliff's job is secure - other wise all bets are off.
KSU- It's Kansas State.. They have no commitments. Don't be shocked.
