On the Pac 12's TV deal

Read it. The problem with the Pac 12 network is the fanbase niche isn't nationwide to warrant the incentive to entice Direct TV. The old refrain about the PAC not being football country, outside of Utah which has a very football centric fanbase there isn't a ton of casual fans outside of USC.

PAC took a risk by completely owning its property, the roll out has been beyond clunky and a money loser but the potential still exists for a proper rebound for them.

The concept of the PAC superconference from 2010 would have ensured national carriage, but at the moment that's water under the bridge. Scott and the Pac need to position themselves to be nimble as the 20's approach and ensure they have all their options on the table. I doubt the PAC sells off any control of its network until the next big realignment is settled.
