Reminder The #Big12 CCG is sub-optimal scheduling

As we hurdle each passing day in the this hell that is the off season it is important to remind you all how inane the Big 12 will be this season.

It's exceedingly rare for college football divisions to be balanced in a manner enough for the conferences two best teams to met each other, the Big 12 has locked itself into such a scenario. Alabama doesn't have to play LSU twice to secure a conference title, Clemson didn't have to play Louisville twice, Washington didn't have to play USC twice. The Big 12 is locked into this going forward

Congrats on a great season Oklahoma going 11-1 - you narrowly beat a surging KSU squad on the road via a late field goal! Your reward is playing a 11-1 KSU squad again. This is insane....

There's is way too much Alan Garner of the college football world

Desperately trying to fit in..and completely incapable of doing so. We go out of our way to make thinks awkward for ourselves . The list of public gaffes is long since the original Big 12 schism, the biggest being the "One True Champion" snafu, which now given what the Big 12 has signed up somehow seems even more ignorant.

There's no overlooking the obvious - CCG can help or hurt at any given year and as Oklahoma fans know upsets can happen (Eff you Darren Sproles) the reality is though matching up the TWO best teams in a league happens very rarely - and ensuring that it happens yearly in the Big 12 just makes the road to the playoff tougher- because ALL the data says that 8 conference games and in an expanded league makes it easier

The Big 12 is an awkward one man wolf-pack trying to fit in. surrounded by regular people who pity us.
