Just prior to the draft: This was posted on Tunsil's twitter- it quickly went viral
Tunsil and his agent announced the account was hijacked, the video old and that someone was being malicious with intent to harm Tunsil's draft stock.Well it did send Tunsil tumbling down the draft board a bit. as NFL GM had some complete "WTF is this horsecrap" moment. Then minutes after his selection by the Dolphins at thirteen., Tusil's instagram was flooded with screen caps of him seemingly engaging in NCAA violation after NCAA violations -discussing money with a now fired Ole Miss staffer.
The NCAA stuff really wasn't new, Tunsil had missed the majority of the year due to suspension/investigation by the NCAA.There were additional details involved with the original investigation involving his family that made Tunsil look sympathetic but having it all blasted openly to the public was one of the oddest damn things, I can possibly imagine happening . I can only imagine Hugh Freeze's reaction to that .
The Epilogue of the this situation: Eventually it came out that Tunsil's street agent/handler leaked the video and text messages over being cut out of the payday Tunsil was set to ssee from the NFL. The NCAA dug their heels back into Ole Miss - while still appealing allegations they are bowl banned for 2017 and Tunsil went on to have an up and down rookie season with the Dolphins.
Here's hoping we don't see anything like that again....
or if we do, it isn't an Oklahoma player....
