What's wrong with Oklahoma's recruiting?"

DMs and emails blowing up with that question tonight.

My answer " Nothing"

Relax, take a second to collect yourselves, and just move on.

There's isn't some brewing scandal below the surface, our QBs liking to drink in public isn't causing a moral panic either. The simple truth is:

Tom Herman has a lot of the Mack Brown used car dealer in him. He absolutely talks a really good game about Oklahoma's future and he works incredibly hard to come across as hip ( or as hip as a aging white dude tweeting about Migos can be)

What do you mean "Oklahoma's future?"

Oklahoma is incredibly fortunate that Riley is even the OC here right now, if Houston hadn't placed a ridiculously laughable buyout clause in their contact language Riley would be entering his Y1 at Houston. Riley will be moving on after this season, barring some unprecedented HCIW tag (which won't happen for all the right reasons)

Herman is playing that fact up.  That's literally it. It's not even negative recruiting, it's just simple fact: Lincoln Riley is really friggin good at his job and probably is coaching Ole Miss in 2018.

Thats what all this boils down to. I' really don't care about those '19 kids- because they were ALWAYS gonna be hard to hang on to, being upset about that is just foolishness. Rising just got sweet talked by the probable reality that he wont get to be coached by Riley and the existing relationship his dad has with Herman.

"Well if Riley is gonna go, who is gonna replace him?"

Cross that bridge when we come to it, but the name(s) tossed around when Riley was potentially UH bound seem like a good bet - and if you're familiar with Bob they should be in your head anyway

Despite the kick to the stones the last ten days has been, tts gonna be a good week on the recruiting trail. There are kids poised to pull the trigger for the good guys, and coaches are making the rounds to find more players for us to obsess over. Just Wait On It.
