. As crazy as it is to believe some people just arent interested in football, that's why celebs are heavily involved, why commercials and movie trailers are so heavily advertised, the spectacle outweighs the game. The Superbowl has long since diverged from being "just a game" it's pop culture. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, half the people I know are more excited about the potential for The Last Jedi trailer than the game, and social media is ablaze about that Budweiser ad.
I've always loved the concept of the puppy bowl. It raises attention for rescue and abused animals, along with sending the undertone of football outreach. The Puppy Bowl is now connected Pop Cultue to the Super Bowl, that's pretty rad, I couldn't imagine today without some puppers.
There will be some political imagery in the Super Bowl,it's been like that for a long while, but I guess if I have any point is that right now with how things are we should take some joy in shared experiences no matter how brief. If you don't like something in the game or halftime show you'll find an audience that will agree with your critiques but I think we all agree on one thing, puppers.
