The All Star game is here, and twitter is lit with various comments on Russ,KD and all the assorted drama that encompasses that. Russ hasn't spoken to KD this week, he was warming up on the opposite goal than the West Squad. This is hella awkard for everyone, and people are saying Russ should grow up.
SCREW THAT
The fact of the matter is Russ had likely HIS best shot at an NBA championship lost in a fourth quarter meltdown of the WCF. Russ went on to learn through the media that KD and the Warriors were actually communicating during the WCF, then KD leaves without so much as a phone call.
Russ doesn't owe KD his time of day, KD will get his ring, Russ will either stick it out in OKC and battle for one or he'll eventually join another team but it's not in Russ's nature to even imagine him pulling the Super Team stunt
Russ and KD are millionaire athletes, they both deserve their fortune because of their undeniable talent.I've talked about not begrudging KD for chasing money frankly I get it, I love capitalism and he only has so much time left to make bank, but the thing I know Russ feels towards KD (besides disrespect) is that KD choose to make Russ's path to a championship infinity harder and his own so much easier. There isn't an OKC fan alive who have begrudged KD for taking the money and running to Boston, but erecting yourself as a road block to the team you just burned is petty
Enjoy the damn game
