Winner(s) TCU is one of the clear winners on signing day. I've spoken about TCU's low numbers this cycle, keeping their class rank down but it's a need filling athletic class, with a lot of athleticism. I'll wrap up this with superlatives on Oklahoma down below.
Better than expected: Baylor for obvious reasons, Rhule got some bodies that were wanted elsewhere for their athleticism, it'll be a piecemeal assembling a functional depth chart out of this but they did extremely well all things considered
What is this: Lack of job security probably cost WVU big time, it's the only thing that makes sense Dana entered the season the hot-seat and probably allocated less time and energy to recruiting. Class is thoroughly average, and about 15 spots lower than what WVU typically will pull. Two Star athletes from coal miner country isn't going to win in this league.
Progress: Good class for Iowa State, none of the individual pieces will blow you away but its about upgrading depth across both lines.
Lukewarm: Pokes signed some nice pieces but struggled gravely in the trenches. Juco heavy next year
Juco Experiment(s): Tech needs its juco's to hit to save Kliff's job, Kansas needs its juco's to hit to avoid a repeat of past mistakes
Snyder Magic: Closed better than I expected but still completely reliant on Snyder's development, just very little "film" talent outside of some good pieces on defense..He's a wizard
Struck Out: A Top 35 class is great for like 90 programs in FBS, for Texas it's a embarrassment. Herman who came over from an instate school absolutely whiffed on Top Prospects down the stretch. That dog won't hunt at Texas, Texas has to win now or else may face back to back whiffs on the recruiting trail.
Booming: Wrapped up early, simply the class of the league. The group's weak point is on the DL which will be a focus point, but still they siged some big framed kids who may produce down the line. Offensively the most complete team Bob has signed, defensively this class probably contends among the best Bob has signed at the DB and LBer position
