The "off-season" is never really off

Secure 10th assistant coach

This position isn't official yet but it's pending for vote at the end of this month during NCAA meetings.  Preferably this position is filed out with someone who has recruiting ties to Texas, California, or Louisiana.

Keeping the #SoonerSquad17 together

As I mentioned in the above link, keeping the current batch of commitments together is a big deal. Since I last wrote about it, DE/LB  K'Jakye Daley has shut down his recruitment, and it appears that  WR Charleston Rambo hasn't bitten the bait from Texas. That leaves LB Jacob Phillips, the next twenty days will be interesting.

Get Healthy

You'll hear about various "clean up" surgeries before spring ball starts. The reality is these kids play hurt and the off season is heal up time. Most of these are completely routine, fixing issues in shoulders, knees and elbows. It's a tough game.

Offensive Identity

The loss of Perine,Mixon and Westbrook presents issues with Riley going forward towards spring ball, will Oklahoma resemble a "typical Tech" team on offense(spreading the ball to a host of WR, little focus on carries) or will the running backs on campus now (Adams, Anderson, Sermon) dictate that the offense will still center around the run?

There is no off-season in college football, the squad will heal up for a few weeks, attend mandatory lifting then transition into their spring workouts/routines. The nature of recruiting means that it doesn't stop either.  Enjoy the ride.
