"Oklahoma Good"
I sat down and thought about what I wanted to write about for my first serious post here and well here we are. I hate off brand Oreos
they can fill you up but they don't satisfy you.
There are a few different types of college football fan, the most obsessive being those who follow the whims of teenage athletes. I happen to be on the most obsessive side of this coin. That's where the "Is he Oklahoma good" phrase comes in. Blue blood fans are spoiled, it is why Bob Stoops catches hell for not winning bowl games, it's why fans scoff at just winning conference titles. "Oklahoma Good" is an expectation of winning. Can this kid help Oklahoma win big?
I look at college football a lot like construction, you need quality materials(recruits), a quality blueprint(coaching) and quality workers(developed players) to build a house( win games). If you fail to have the quality raw materials your end product will be less than what it could be even if you have a great blue print and quality workers. Formica will never be Marble even if an artisan installed it, the material always has limitations. Oklahoma has been lacking on quality raw material.

The 2017 Oklahoma recruiting class is a throwback to the classes Oklahoma signed from 2001 to 2009. I'll touch on the drop off at some point in the future, but the reality is good for Oklahoma right now..There isn't any fluff or off brand Oreos in this class, the offer sheets are great, the star ratings are appropriate the talent level is rising..This class is "Oklahoma Good" The flip side of that of course is the pressure on Coach Stoops will rise. as I said above blue blood fans are't just satisfied with winning. No pressure, no diamonds right?
